LANEWAY TREASURES
Tracy Watts - Laneway Treasures
Tracy is someone who’s head has always been full of wonderful ideas, who walks along a beach picking up pieces of sea glass and fossils because she can imagine how they look as a piece of jewellery.
She left nursing after 20 years to focus on being a mum and working with her husband. As her girls grew, she found herself with more free time she started making the glass she’d collected into jewellery for her friends and family. The hobby grew and developed into Laneway Treasures.
Now she is using these ideas to create unique handmade jewellery in her workshop. In a world full of plastic she uses natural products, genuine sea glass, pearls, fossils, wood, metals, and semi-precious gemstones. Some of her more unusual pieces are made using recycled cutlery, nails, nuts and bolts.
Each piece of sea glass is collected by her, family and friends from the beaches of the British Isles and Ireland and other than cleaning it and drilling it, it remains unaltered.
She thoroughly enjoys making each individual piece and wants her customers to enjoy wearing it for many years, so each piece is made to last using the strongest and best materials possible without spoiling its aesthetics.
Laneway Treasures jewellery is made for people who want quality at affordable prices but do not want to walk into a room and see other people wearing an identical piece.
She mainly produces jewellery, but also makes things like keyrings and hip flasks, with her unique touch of sea glass. She has a popular range of reed diffusers with sea/beach inspired scents that are blended here in Mirfield. Three sizes available including one for the car.
She also has Laneway Gems which is their soon to be children’s range, coming later this year….
